Corporate boards have historically been composed of primarily white people who looked for people similar to them when seeking additional members, writes Dan Blacharski, urging a focus on greater diversity. “[W]hen you have a company that is embracing and is open to a diverse set of talent, they are going to pick the best, and that is going to make them the best,” says Teri McClure, a Black woman who sits on four corporate boards.
