Super Bowl inspires Fla., Mo. chefs to swap regional fare

Chef Douglas Rodriguez of Hotel Haya in Tampa, Fla., and chef Ian Wortham of Crossroads Hotel in Kansas City, Mo., are swapping regional dishes during Super Bowl weekend, and a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit a charity in the winning football team’s city. The Crossroads Hotel will feature a Cuban sandwich, ceviche and a Painkiller cocktail as a tribute to Floridian flavors, and Hotel Haya will offer a nod to Missouri barbecue with a pulled pork sandwich and a smoked cherry Old-Fashioned.
