Scammers masquerading as the “Small Business Administration Office of Disaster Assistance” are sending emails to small-business owners offering loans up to $250,000 and asking for birth dates and Social Security numbers, according to the Federal Trade Commission. Don’t click on links or share personal information in response to unsolicited emails and check credit reports for any fraudulent information, the FTC recommends.
