Hoteliers add COVID-19 tests to amenities
US hotel companies and travel agencies are scrambling to cope with the latest pandemic-linked challenge by folding in COVID-19 testing, sometimes at low or no cost, for customers returning from international trips. A requirement by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that tests be given withing 72 hours of boarding triggered confusion and “decimated business again” when announced Jan. 12, travel industry leader Zane Kerby says.
