Toronto leases hotel to use as temporary shelter

Toronto has entered into an agreement with a local hotel to lease its space to serve as a temporary homeless shelter through the end of the year. The city has contracted a local nonprofit to run the shelter and said meals, mental and physical health care, harm reduction support as well as recreational and social programming will be available at the site.
