Marriott CEO dies following bout with cancer

Marriott International CEO Arne Sorenson, 62, who had been battling cancer since 2019, died Monday, the company announced. The world’s largest hotel company had disclosed just this month that Sorenson, the third CEO in its history, would be reducing his work schedule to undergo intensified treatment for pancreatic cancer.
