Walmart took part in and helped finance a report from McKinsey titled “Race in the Workplace: The Black Experience,” which surveyed 25,000 workers from more than 20 leading US companies to examine racial inequity in private sector workplaces. Among the key findings were that 73% of Black workers earn less than $30,000 a year, they account for just 7% of management employees and 45% work in occupations with a substantial presence on the front lines.
