Air Serbia will launch new Geneva-Belgrade flights in March 2021
Air Serbia will be introducing two weekly flights between Geneva and Belgrade, starting 1st of March 2021. The plan is to operate two weekly flights on this route on a year-round basis. Services will operate each Monday and Friday using an A319 aircraft, with a capacity of 144 seats.
Geneva was announced as one of the six new destinations last year, but this plan was temporarily abandoned due to the coronavirus pandemic. “We are carefully monitoring all the changes in travel restrictions and demand, trying to act quickly and seize all the opportunities that open up on the market,” said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.
Monday flights will provide good connectivity from Geneva to other destinations in the airline’s network scheduled in the midday, such as Larnaca, Moscow, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Thessaloniki, Tirana and Tivat.
A strong demand for this route has been identified, in particular, with the very important Serbian community established in Geneva Airport’s catchment area, with more than 30,000 nationals living in Western Switzerland and neighbouring France. The link between the capital of Serbia and the diplomatic activity taking place in Geneva makes also fully sense.
Air Serbia is the national airline of the Republic of Serbia and operates a fleet of approximately 20 planes to more than 60 destinations around the world, have a special partnership with Etihad Airways and other carriers.
