US airline jobs continue rebound

Share
The Transportation Department reports that 713,949 people held airline jobs in mid-January, up from 694,638 in December and a low of 673,278 in October, when federal payroll protection for airlines lapsed. That employment level is only 5% lower than January 2020, as increased staffing at cargo carriers like FedEx, UPS and Atlas Air offset decreases at passenger airlines.
