Noted Detroit hotel tower said to be foreclosure-bound

A downtown Detroit hotel that underwent an historic redevelopment is facing foreclosure due to pandemic-related losses and months of missed mortgage payments, according to its owner. John Ferchill told a newspaper that lender Citi Real Estate Funding Inc. has informed him of intent to foreclose on the Westin Book Cadillac.
