FlyArystan begins service to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport
FlyArystan, wholly owned low-cost subsidiary of Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s national carrier has started its operations to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) from Turkistan (HSA) today. It will operate 2x weekly (Friday, Sunday) flights on A320 with a seating capacity of 180. Turkistan is best known as the center for its large industrial, educational and cultural developments, which attract both domestic and international tourists all year round.
FlyArystan is the first new airline to commence operations to SAW in 2021, and only carrier serving Kazakhstan at the moment. SAW becomes the second international route operated by FlyArystan post Covid 19. The airline currently flies to 34 domestic and 2 international destinations. The presence of FlyArystan will extend ISG’s network to reach beyond Central Asia and China.
To mark this special occasion, the inaugural flight was welcomed with a water salute followed by a warm welcoming ceremony in the presence of both parties, where the airline crew were given flowers by the SAW officials.
