The Oprah Winfrey Network is working with the SeeHer initiative from the Association of National Advertisers on #WriteHerRight Black Female Characters: Authentic Representation and Storytelling Guide. Part of the handbook covers positive representation, while the other part addresses stereotypes that media should avoid.
