2020 brought more health to surging Airbnb, study shows

Airbnb has seen its room supply more than double over the past four years, and the home rental enterprise has outperformed the hotel sector during the pandemic as travelers have sought separation, the short-term rental analytics firm AirDNA reports. Airbnb’s 5.4 million active listings as of February compared to a combined 3.3 million units at Marriott International, Hilton Hotels and IHG Hotels & Resorts, according to AirDNA.
