United Airlines launches Eco-Skies Alliance program

United Airlines announced its “Eco-Skies Alliance,” a partnership with more than a dozen global corporations to collectively purchase nearly 3.4 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in 2021. United customers will also have the ability to contribute towards the purchase of SAF, or finance SAF production and other carbon reduction initiatives. “When we’re talking about things like diversity or climate change, it’s not marketing, it’s not talk. It’s action,” United CEO Scott Kirby said.
