TV’s Vern Yip will star in Mackinac’s Grand Hotel redo

Designer Vern Yip of HGTV and TLC’s “Trading Spaces” fame will be in charge of the Grand Hotel facelift at Mackinac Island, Mich. The project’s highlight is the Esther Williams Swimming Area, featuring a water slide, a children’s play area, an adults-only pool area and cabanas with food and beverage service.
