Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the Transportation Security Administration are testing virtual queuing technology that allows travelers to reserve a time for security screening with the goal of reducing lines. Alaska Airlines passengers, who have a dedicated line at checkpoint 5, can make an appointment online up to 24 hours before departure or at the terminal, while other passengers can make an appointment at checkpoint 2 after they get to the terminal.
