Busier casinos, hotels in Las Vegas struggle to fill jobs
As COVID-19 restrictions start to ease, many Las Vegas casinos and hotels are hosting job fairs and other events in the hopes of finding qualified workers, but they are still ending up with unfilled positions. The hospitality industry is seeing a shift, as many employees have moved on to new careers or have additional child care responsibilities, and it may take higher wages to entice them back to the field, economist Jeff Waddoups says.
