Black communities had most startup growth during pandemic

During the coronavirus pandemic, startup growth was strongest in Black neighborhoods, particularly those in affluent areas of Atlanta, Houston and New York City, according to research by the National Bureau of Economic Research, using data from the Startup Cartography Project. The research also found there was a surge in new business formation in the weeks following the release of economic relief payments.
