Upscale hotel planned for 1923 Maine structure

A building in downtown Portland, Maine, will reach its 100th anniversary as the site of a new luxury hotel with a rooftop bar if an in-state developer has his way. Chris Rhoades of T.T. Maine Venture LLC is asking the city’s Historic Preservation Board for permission to renovate the top two floors of the Chapman Building.
