New owner of NOLA’s Frenchmen Hotel looks ahead

Restaurateur Robert Thompson has more New Orleans acquisitions in mind after joining a national trend toward purchases of smaller hotels aimed at younger travelers. The Frenchmen Hotel, which he bought last week, is a “good bite-sized” start of a portfolio, says the founder and former owner of the Punch Bowl Social dining-entertainment chain.
