The first flight of the German low-cost carrier Eurowings (a part of Lufthansa Group) will land at Krasnodar airport on July 2. The Kuban capital gets a direct link with one of the largest economic, transport, cultural and political centers in Germany for the first time since 2014.

The flights will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft twice-weekly. On Fridays, it will arrive to Krasnodar at 12:25 and departure to Dusseldorf at 13:45. On Mondays, the plane will land in Krasnodar at 16:55 and take off at 18:15. Average travel time will be 3 hours 10 minutes. The ticket price will start at 119 euros.

The flight to Krasnodar will complement the airline’s offer in the “Visit friends and relatives” segment, in which Eurowings already successfully offers flights to various countries of the world. The airline is a leader in this market segment, providing travelers from all over the world with direct flights to their destinations.

The new direction will give the residents of Kuban the opportunity to travel to most countries in Europe and in the world. Dusseldorf Airport is one of the largest international hubs in the region. Its advantageous geographical position (close to the border with Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, as well as other large cities in Germany) opens up great prospects for both business travelers and tourists. Convenient time and days of departure make the destination comfortable for weekend tours.

All international flights from Krasnodar airport have been terminated at the end of March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. One year the airport served only domestic destination and repatriation international flights to bring home Russian citizens. International charter flights from Krasnodar to selected countries were reopened only from April 2021. It is currently working on the launch of new international flights.
