Airlines’ commitment to buying more sustainable aviation fuel is key to San Francisco International Airport’s plan to become a national leader in that area, Erin Cooke, the airport’s director of sustainability, said in an interview. SFO “is the first to convene this level of collaborators and coalition of advocates,” she said, and has “the largest volume delivery of SAF via the largest commitments of airlines and producers that are all active members of our network and ecosystem.”
