Hawaii expansion a bright point for Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines had already planned to expand service to Hawaii prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, which it now continues to invest in as leisure travel continues to recover, Brett Catlin, vice president of network and alliances, said in an interview. Demand for Hawaii flights has “stabilized much faster than the rest of the system,” he said, with flights running about 80% full, similar to pre-pandemic levels.
