AHLA, employee group send new SOS to Congress
The nation’s hotel industry and labor organizations are amplifying their plea for aid from Congress with new data showing a lingering depression state for 21 of 25 of the top US markets. “We need Congress to pass the bipartisan Save Hotel Jobs Act so hotels in the hardest hit regions, especially urban markets, can retain and rehire employees until travel demand, especially business travel, comes back to pre-pandemic levels,” says Chip Rogers, president and CEO of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
