The Coco Palms Resort in Kauai, immortalized in the 1961 Elvis Presley film “Blue Hawaii” but closed since 1992, will be auctioned off this month. Opened in 1953 on land once occupied by Hawaii’s last queen, the property was subject to a recent failed revival that would have entailed a 350-room resort.
