United CEO optimistic on continued travel recovery

While leisure travel continues to recover due to pent up demand, full recovery remains dependent on lifting international travel restrictions and the return of business travel, United CEO Scott Kirby said on Face the Nation. Kirby estimated that business travel will not fully recover until 2023, while the summer of 2022 could “be the biggest year in history for Europe” travel. “We see a huge desire for people to get back out, reunite with friends and family and connect with the world,” Kirby said.
