US airports increasingly adopt hearing loop tech

Eighteen US airports have installed “hearing loops,” technology that allows travelers who use hearing aids to connect directly to the public address system, making it easier to hear announcements. Delta Air Lines installed the technology at its departure gates in the new terminal at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, as well as some gates in Detroit and information kiosks in Atlanta.
