Airlines encouraged by strong domestic recovery

Air passenger volume continues to increase and airline executives note continued momentum for recovery as domestic destinations receive strong demand. Full recovery will depend on the return of business and international travel. The Transportation Security Administration screened more than 2.2 million travelers at checkpoints on July 18, the highest single day total since the start of the pandemic.
