Crossover jets reduce airlines’ CO2 output

Pratt & Whitney GTF engines on airlines’ crossover narrowbody jets have helped cut down on emissions related to commercial air travel, as airlines took time during the pandemic to right-size fleets, burning less fuel and thus fewer emissions. Embraer, meanwhile, is working toward enabling 100% use of sustainable aviation fuel on its aircraft.
