Travel advisers see ‘micro-cations’ as new trend
The pandemic has caused a change in how people travel, with Americans surveyed taking shorter “micro-cations” — vacations that are typically around four nights — instead of longer vacations. “Micro-cations allow clients who are eager to travel to do so without having to risk their money on a longer trip that might get canceled due to a fourth wave, or cut short while on vacation because of constantly-changing exit and entry rules,” said Toronto-based Ocean Phi Long Le, a travel adviser with Bodad Travel.
