Airlines hopeful for increased holiday travel

Airlines are hopeful for sustained demand this holiday travel season as COVID-19 cases are waning again and the federal government is poised to reopen the country to vaccinated foreign tourists. “Cancellations have abated, bookings are recovering,” said Hawaiian Airlines CEO Peter Ingram, adding: “As we get to Thanksgiving and Christmas, we’ve got the opportunity for a strong, solid recovery.”
