Pittsburgh airport breaks ground on $1.4B improvement
Pittsburgh International Airport officials broke ground this week on a $1.4 billion terminal modernization program, among the largest infrastructure projects in the history of the Pittsburgh region, which will bring a new entrance, 700,000 square-foot terminal, and parking garage to the airport. Expected to open in 2025, the project won’t cost taxpayers as it is financed through the sale of bonds approved through a use and lease agreement with airlines.
