Pandemic prep drives design for Miami tower with hotel

A 55-story, $500 million hotel-residential-medical center tower under construction in Miami is being touted as the world’s first pandemic-adapted skyscraper. The Legacy Tower at Miami Worldcenter will feature disinfection robots and voice-activated elevators along with an array of health care components such as surgery rooms and a pharmacy.
