US announces rules for reopening international travel

The White House announced new rules for the reopening of international travel beginning Nov. 8, lifting the severe travel restrictions that have been in place since early 2020. Airlines for America welcomed the news, saying, “We have seen an increase in ticket sales for international travel over the past weeks, and are eager to begin safely reuniting the countless families, friends and colleagues who have not seen each other in nearly two years, if not longer.”
