American Airlines details sustainability progress

American Airlines improved its fuel efficiency over the past year and is on track to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, the airline said in its annual Environment, Social, and Governance report. During the pandemic, American accelerated plans to replace less fuel efficient aircraft ahead of schedule.
