UPS revamps hiring process to attract holiday workers

In preparation for the busy holiday shipping season, UPS is offering sign-on bonuses, additional benefits and creative incentives as part of its push to hire more than 100,000 workers to help move holiday shipments. “Seventy percent or more of all of our new hires are done on a cell phone, and we were nowhere near that three years ago,” said Dan McMackin, public relations manager for UPS.
