Hotel rates next year could jump by 13%, far surpassing inflation, thanks to rising operational costs along with the persistent labor shortage, according to the annual Global Business Travel Forecast issued this week. The upsurge is no surprise after the doldrums of the pandemic and should ease to a 10% rise in 2023, the report notes.
