Cherokee Nation cleared to build $225M casino-resort

A gaming permit has been issued to the Cherokee Nation Businesses, which is the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma’s gaming unit, and Legends Hospitality, paving the way for the construction of Legends Resort and Casino in Russellville, Ark., after a three-year wait that included extensive litigation. The $225 million facility will include a casino, sportsbook and 200-room hotel.
