Green Book hotel of yore makes Ga. imperiled roster

A hotel in Thomasville, Ga., once featured in the storied Green Book of accommodations available to African-Americans in the Jim Crow era is at risk. The Imperial Hotel, built in 1949 and closed 20 years later, is one of 10 sites on this year’s Places in Peril by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
