US airlines deliver strong Thanksgiving travel performance

Airlines for America reports that six member airlines and their regional partners operated an average of nearly 19,000 flights per day during the Thanksgiving travel period and turned in solid performances, completing 99.7% of scheduled flights and bringing 85% in on time. “This performance exceeds pre-pandemic years and showcases the preparation and resiliency the US airline industry exercised just a year after it was decimated by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic,” A4A said.
