There’s something exciting about visiting a brand new hotel or resort, and especially one that’s located in a lush jungle or a gorgeous beachfront setting. Most new properties feature new furniture and linens, a fresh coat of paint and an upgraded list of amenities. Staying in a new property also gives you the chance to try something new and different before everyone else gets the chance.

With that in mind, we rounded up some of the most exciting new hotels and resorts that opened their doors in late 2021 or plan to in 2022. If you’re eager for a getaway you won’t ever forget, consider these unique and beautiful new properties.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana, Dominican Republic
The Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana just opened for the first time in November of 2021, which makes it ripe for exploration. This all-inclusive resort features 10 restaurants and lounges, an array of daily activities and huge rooms and suites that sleep up to four. Some of their all-inclusive villas even boast private pools or swim-up access.

Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun: Mexico
Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun began its soft opening phase in late 2021, but it will host its grand opening in February of 2022. This luxurious all-inclusive resort is unique because it boasts a range of room options perfect for big families, including oceanfront suites with up to four bedrooms and up to 5,000 square feet of space. This property also boasts three huge pools, including an adults-only pool with a hammock relaxation area.

Cabot Saint Lucia, Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia is well known for its lush greenery and striking natural beauty, and Cabot Saint Lucia is set to open in this sun-soaked paradise in late 2022. This resort will be located on a 375-acre peninsula on the northern side of the island, and it will feature its own golf course, high-end shopping, multiple dining venues and a luxurious Cabot Spa.

Hilton Cancun, Mexico
Hilton Cancun, an all-inclusive resort from the Hilton brand, officially opened to guests on November 7, 2021. This expansive property features 715 rooms and suites, as well as 12 unique restaurants, oceanfront pools and a luxurious spa. Some of their room options feature swim-up access, but they all come with all your food, drink and entertainment included in the nightly rate.

Rosewood Le Guanahani, St. Barth
This high-end Caribbean property just opened on November 16th, 2021, and it is situated across 18 lush acres in stunning St. Barth. Guests who visit will find two beautiful beaches, a luxurious Rosewood Spa and 66 guest rooms and suites, 20 of which feature their own private swimming pools.

While not yet a household name, the Rosewood Le Guanahani will soon be known as the island’s most idyllic luxury escape.

Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya, Mexico
The Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya is opening in January of 2022, and it will offer 349 oceanfront rooms and suites along the white sand and clear waters of Riviera Maya, Mexico. This upscale resort will feature 11 unique culinary restaurants, several pools and a luxury spa with treatments for individuals and couples.

Sandals Royal Curaçao, Curacao
Sandals is well known for its adults-only all-inclusive resorts, yet this famous brand is unveiling a brand new location in April of 2022. Sandals Royal Curacao is currently being prepared for guests on its gorgeous beachfront location within a 3,000-acre protected reserve. The all-inclusive property will offer 350 rooms and suites, including seaside bungalows with butler service and private pools.

Bitter End Yacht Club, Virgin Gorda
While the BVI’s Bitter End Yacht Club is not a brand new property, the resort was closed for four years and completely rebuilt and reimagined during that time. Currently scheduled to open in December of 2021, this property is located on 64 acres on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. Once back in business, the hotel will feature new and upgraded amenities, a shopping venue and the first overwater bungalows in the BVI.

Zoetry Curacao Resort and Spa, Curacao
Opening in January 2022, Zoetry Curacao Resort and Spa will offer another luxury all-inclusive option in this Caribbean destination. This property plans to focus on wellness, which will be easy considering its exceptional location in a tropical paradise. Just five minutes from the colorful city center of Willemstad, the Zoetry Curacao Resort and Spa will offer 72 rooms and suites, three restaurants, three bars, two huge pools, a tennis court, a full-service spa and more. Guests will also enjoy full access to Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino, which is just a quick golf cart ride away.

Banyan Tree Puebla, Mexico
Banyan Tree Puebla recently opened on November 1, 2021, in the historic city of Puebla, Mexico. This resort features 78 rooms and suites with local furnishings and textiles, as well as contemporary artwork. Guests will also find a sophisticated lounge with premium handcrafted cocktails, and they can take part in unique culinary experiences like traditional mole-making classes and Mezcal, tequila and local wine tastings.

Azul Beach Resort Cap Cana, Dominican Republic
Azul Beach Resort Cap Cana just opened in November of 2021 with a stunning location on the beautiful Playa Juanillo beach in the Dominican Republic. This all-inclusive property is home to 251 rooms and suites, some of which feature swim-up access. Guests can dine and drink at 12 different restaurants and lounges, and they can also take advantage of amenities within the neighboring Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana. In addition to all your food and drink, this property boasts endless live entertainment and complementary activities galore.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa, Grenada
The Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa is an all-inclusive property with a jaw-dropping beachfront location on Tamarind Bay. This resort just opened in October of 2021, and it offers relaxing ocean views and a host of water sports. Guests who want to experience all-inclusive luxury can also upgrade to the Diamond Club for preferred room locations, butler service, access to an exclusive beach area and other VIP perks.

Waldorf-Astoria Cancun, Mexico
Currently set to open in the spring of 2022, the Waldorf-Astoria Cancun will feature 173 rooms and suites, all of which will come with private plunge pools and stunning ocean views. This resort will also offer state-of-the-art fitness facilities, a large swimming pool, private cabanas and six on-site restaurants featuring fine local cuisine. A luxurious spa will also offer the perfect place for guests to relax and unwind.
