American Airlines announces leadership changes

American Airlines announced the leadership team that will report to Robert Isom, who will become CEO on March 31, 2022, following the retirement of current CEO Doug Parker. The senior leadership team will include Derek Kerr, Steve Johnson, Maya Leibman, Priya Aiyar, Cole Brown, Ron DeFeo, Nate Gatten, Vasu Raja and David Seymour. “These executives are all extremely capable and experienced leaders, and together, they form an unstoppable team,” Isom said. Additionally, Elise Eberwein will retire from her role as executive vice president of people and global engagement in June 2022. Eberwein will stay in a senior advisory role until her retirement next year.
