Trivago blames coronavirus for global bookings plunge

Global hotel reservation cancellations have soared 35% since November, online hotel search platform Trivago says, citing Omicron variant worries and renewed government travel restrictions. “Much like 2020, domestic travel is the preferred option as consumers look to reunite with friends and family,” Trivago commented.
