Sochi International Airport named after V.I. Sevastyanov served its 11 millionth passenger, which flew away on the board of Nordwind Airlines.

Ekaterina Chistyakova flew to Sochi on vacation with her husband and son Stepan. A family vacation at a ski resort ended for tourists in a truly festive and enchanting way. At the check-in desk, passengers were greeted with a snow salute, a corridor of balloons, fanfare and gifts.

Sergey Filippov, СEO of Sochi International Airport, and Alexander Bessonov, representative of Nordwind Airlines, congratulated the jubilee passenger. They presented
Ekaterina with souvenirs, certificates for visiting the Sochi Airport business lounge and for a free flight across Russia within the Nordwind airline route network. The celebration turned out to be a complete surprise for the Chistyakov family, so they have not yet decided how they will use the surprise. But they promised to return to Sochi.

The other passengers were also not left without a gift. They were congratulated by local artists. Everyone could enjoy the creativity of the Phoenix show ballet and live music performed by the Kurortny Prospekt cover band, as well as take part in a raffle of memorable souvenirs.

This is the fifth record of Sochi Airport since the beginning of this year. The first one was in August. Then the airport overcame the 7 million milestone, thereby exceeding the annual passenger traffic of 2020, which is slightly more than 6.5 million passengers. By the end of this year, experts predicted 10 million passenger traffic, but this figure for the staff of Sochi airport was not the limit.
