FAA 5G restrictions prohibit instrument landings at dozens of US airports

The Federal Aviation Administration has published hundreds of notices outlining restrictions on instrument-aided landings at some 100 US airports due to potential interference from 5G service set to launch on Jan. 19. The agency said it “has made progress to safely reduce the risk of delays and cancellations as wireless companies share more data and manufacturer altimeter testing results arrive.”
