Historic Westin San Jose, Calif., sells at loss

The seller of the Westin San Jose says it sold the California landmark in a deal worth $62.3 million, though county records show Irvine-based Khanna Enterprises’ paid $44.9 million for the building and land. The former Sainte Claire Hotel lost 29.8% of its real estate value after South Korea-based Aju Hotels and Resorts bought it in 2017 for $64 million.
