Demand for international air travel, agency sales rises

Sales of international airline tickets has jumped 11 percentage points in the period between Jan. 25 and Feb. 8 as governments relax pandemic travel restrictions, the International Air Transport Association reported. Meanwhile, travel agency air ticket sales nearly tripled from January 2021 to January 2022, according to Airlines Reporting Corp.
