US Airlines cancel 100s of flights as storms approach Dallas

As winter storm Oaklee makes its way across the country, American Airlines has canceled over 500 flights in and out of DFW.

Storm Oaklee hit the Southwest on Tuesday before starting to make its way across the Central US earlier today. Several storm systems will pass through North Texas from Wednesday Feb. 23 morning to Thursday evening, generating gale-force winds and freezing drizzle.

As a result, Dallas-Fort Worth-based American Airlines and its regional carriers feeding the hub have canceled over 500 flights through Thursday. A spokesperson for the airline informed the Dallas Morning News of the decision
