The first of the three scheduled Air India evacuation flights from Ukraine landed in Delhi on Tuesday Feb. 22. Amid the escalating crisis in the Eastern European country, the Indian government is trying to provide options for citizens wanting to come back. Presently Air India is the only carrier scheduled to evacuate Indians from Ukraine, but that could change in the time to come.

Air India’s Dreamliner carrying more than 240 passengers from Ukraine landed in New Delhi shortly before midnight on February 22nd. The Boeing 787-8 left Kyiv just after 2 pm, a little more than an hour late. After flying for over six hours, the aircraft touched down at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport a little after 11:40 pm.
