American Airlines flight attendant celebrates decades-long career
With a career spanning over five decades, Cheryl Gaymon is American Airlines’ most senior flight attendant out of more than 6,000 flight attendants at Dallas/Fort Worth. Gaymon, who first joined the airline in 1967, earned her wings at a time when Black flight attendants faced systemic obstacles in the industry. Since joining, she’s had unique opportunities, including supporting Civil Reserve Air Fleet missions American operated out of Vietnam. Today, Gaymon proudly reflects on her role in paving the way to diversify the workforce.
